A boost for French innovation | Bpifrance provides strong support for France’s entrepreneurs

French public investment bank Bpifrance supports innovative businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises. In October 2017, the European Investment Bank concluded its 3rd guarantee agreement with Bpifrance. This provides a further €600 million of financing for 2017-19, giving a fresh boost to French innovation. On 12 October 2017, the European Investment Bank (EIB) concluded its 3rd guarantee agreement with Bpifrance The EIB renewed its guarantee for 2 key innovation-funding tools, allowing Bpifrance to increase its financing capacity €400 million of additional financing was made available for the Bpifrance innovation loan An envelope worth €200 million was provided for the seed capital loan More than 4,700 EU-backed loans and guarantees will thus be granted to innovative companies in France
