Women in transport event

3 497 views

Violeta Bulc, Member of the EC in charge of Transport, invited female workers, employers, academics and policy makers in the transport sector to meet in Brussels on 21 April 2016 to discuss ways to increase the number of women working in transport. Currently, the share of women in transport jobs is 22%, well below the overall share of 46%. Common reasons for this are stereotypes, lack of awareness and low attractiveness of transport jobs for women.
