GRETA report on Lithuania
GRETA, June 2015, 55 pages
GRETA welcomes the steps taken by the Lithuanian authorities to combat trafficking in human beings, in particular the adoption of anti-trafficking legislation and the setting up of co-ordinating structures and specialised units. However, the report stresses the need to adopt a specific action plan on combating human trafficking and to improve co-ordination at national and municipal level.
GRETA considers that greater attention should be paid to raising awareness about new trends in human trafficking and more prevention measures should be addressed to groups vulnerable to trafficking, such as persons with mental disorders, children in special schools and foster homes, and men in difficult life circumstances.
