In this report, the Special Rapporteur outlines the major challenges and achievements in combating human trafficking during reporting period (April 2009 until March 2010).
The Rapporteur analyses current activities undertaken by regional and sub-regional organisations with the intention of highlighting good practices and initiatives that promote a human rights-based approach to combating human trafficking. It provides a description of the main regional and sub-regional anti-trafficking cooperation mechanisms that exist in different regions of the world, followed by an analysis of their main achievements and the main challenges they are facing.
