Objectives and results

COMBAT project focuses on cross-border trafficking aiming at raising awareness, finding ways to prevent it, protecting and supporting people who have been subjected to violence, abuse and exploitation. Research suggests that there is a lack of targeted support and work with front end operatives such as hotel staff, ports authorities and bus depots to accurately recognise and take appropriate action when trafficking occurs. Recent evidence also points to the fact that child trafficking is an escalating phenomenon.
