Stakeholders from 24 organizations of the private sector balanced on the production, processing and trade areas and 21 representatives from the public administrations of key EU Member States with a significant sheep production participated in this workshop.
The morning session was devoted to 4 presentations given by 5 independent experts from research bodies to identify perspectives and challenges on economic, social and environmental aspects of sheep farming. The discussion in the afternoon took place on the basis of five guiding questions presented by the chairman and also issues raised by the participants.
