The European Commission has added seven names of agricultural products and foodstuffs to the Register of Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indications (PGI):

  • "Vinagre del Condado de Huelva" (vinegar - PDO - Spain)
  • "Vinagre de Jerez" (vinegar - PDO - Spain)
  • "Queso Casín" (cheese - PDO - Spain)
  • "Cordero de Extremadura" (lamb meat - PGI - Spain)
  • "Nanoški sir" (cheese - PDO - Slovenia)
  • "Jablka grójeckie" (apples - PGI - Poland)
  • "Katsikaki Elassonas" (goat meat - PDO - Greece)

The seven names are added to the list of more than 1000 product names already protected under the legislation on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin and traditional speciality.
