In a difficult economic environment and with increasing pressure on EU and Member States' finances, we have to pay more attention than ever to where and how we invest public money. Politicians and experts on public funding will discuss this issue in Brussels tomorrow at a special conference on an "EU Budget Focused on Results".
EU Agriculture & Rural Development Commissioner Phil Hogan will participate in a Panel debate from 14:30 on Key Features of the EU Budget's Performance.
Ahead of the conference, the Commission's DG AGRI has published a new brochure outlining how the CAP budget works, highlighting how it is helping the agri-food sector be a driving force towards economic recovery and creating growth and jobs, as well as addressing environmental issues and providing societal benefits.
The conference will be webstreamed live here.
