More than 40,000 visitors are expected for the 25th anniversary of the Maamess agricultural fair taking place in Tartu, Estonia, from 20-22 April 2017. The European Commission will take part with a stand that highlights the benefits of the common agricultural policy.
The main message of the Commission's stand, managed by the department for agriculture and rural development in collaboration with the Commission's representation in Estonia, is "From farm to fork: sustainable food for our future".
Showcasing the benefits of the common agricultural policy to the general public and agri-food specialists alike, the stand offers a wide range of activities to visitors to the fair, from touch-screen games to help them learn more about the food chain to the chance to taste EU quality and organic food - or simply the opportunity to ask Commission staff more about EU food and farming.
