The EU is a net exporter of cereals. Exports mainly comprise wheat and barley, with about 15% of the EU's wheat crop exported each year, while maize and some other feed grains are imported, along with large quantities of oilseeds, oilseed meals, vegetable oils and rice.
The documents on this page provide an overview of key trade figures.
The European Crops Market Observatory, launched on 20 July 2017, provides a single web interface with a wealth of raw data for stakeholders in the cereal, oilseed and protein crops sector.
Moreover, it follows and analyses past and present trends in EU and world cereal, oilseed and protein crops markets, production, balance between supply and demand, productions costs, markets perspectives etc.
