General question on Directive 2007/64/EC

Could you please tell me what is the current status of implementation of the Payment Services Directive in Poland? I would also like to know whether an infringement procedure is pending against Poland due to failure or delay in the implementation of the PSD? Thank you.

The Polish Parliament finally adopted the law transposing Directive 2007/64/EC - Ustawa o uslugach platniczych, http://prawo.gazetaprawna.pl/artykuly/540084,sejm_za_poprawkami_senatu_do_ustawy_o_uslugach_platniczych.html - on 19 August 2011. The Polish authorities communicated the law to the European Commission on 26 September 2011. The law entered into force on 30 0ctober 2011.
Furthermore, Poland adopted and published on 22 November 2011 a Ministerial Order - Rozporzdzenie Ministra Finansów z dnia 22 listopada 2011 r.w sprawie metody obliczania kwoty, o której mowa w art. 76 ust. 4 pkt 2 ustawy o usugach patniczych - which entered into force on 17 December 2011. Poland notified the order on 5 December 2011, declaring that the transposition of the Directive was herewith complete.
On 26 January 2012, the Commission therefore decided to withdraw the case pending before the European Court of Justice (C-2010/542).
