Ecaterina Andronescu, Romanian Minister for Education, and Nicolae Idu, Head of the Commission Representation in Romania, opened on 26 September the Youth on the Move event at the National Institute of Statistics in Bucharest in the presence of around 200 representatives from EU funded youth projects, schools, universities and embassies. Romanian actor and Youth on the Move ambassador Dragoş Bucur and Răzvan-Horaţiu Radu State Secretary, Ministry of European Affairs, said that learning abroad is a great experience and increases young peoples' chances on the job market. At a prize ceremony the National Agency for Community Programmes in the field of Education and Vocational Training (ANPCDEFP) awarded outstanding Romanian education, vocational training and volunteering projects. Among the winners was the Romanian Erasmus Ambassador Laura Adelina Popa.
