European Youth Week Banner

Come and celebrate the 2017 European Youth Week! From 1 to 7 May hundreds of events will be taking place across Europe to inform young people about various EU mobility opportunities and highlight their rich contribution to Europe's challenges such as solidarity, inclusion, democracy and active citizenship.

Under the slogan “Shape it, move it, be it”, the 33 countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme will host from conferences to workshops and outdoor activities, spreading across three key messages:

  • Find out and get involved in the new European Solidarity Corps
  • Learn more about Erasmus+ and take part of it
  • Get involved in youth policy making

Don’t miss this chance to participate and let the world know how you can make a real impact in your community!

Through active participation, solidarity and innovative thinking young people are contributing in many ways to shape and build the Europe they want for the next decades. The future of Europe is in the hands of its youth... so let’s show the world its strength!

As part of the 2017 European Youth Week, we invite young people across Europe to stand up and unite their hands in human chains as a way to show their solidarity and commitment to continue building an inclusive and diverse EU.

To participate in this initiative you just have to:

  • Organise a human chain with young people, no matter how many. From 3 to 3,000... the number is up to you!
  • You can gather anywhere: a bridge, a park, around a square, a tree or a sculpture...
  • Take pictures or videos of the human chain.
  • Upload them to your social networks, using the hashtag #youthweek and #EuSolidarityCorps
