Meet the Street – peer consultation of young people
The project Meet the Street supported under the Youth in Action Programme and implemented by European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) developed a European consultation where youngsters, aged between 15 and 25 are interviewing, using mobile phones, non organized youngsters about different subjects they feel are important for them.
The project Meet the Street is divided into 2 phases:
- the first one runs from October 2008 until February 2009. During the first event in Luxembourg the training sessions were delivered about communication and interviewing techniques for 39 youngsters.
- the second phase will run from March until September 2009. During this phase, an event will be organized in Rotterdam where 40 youngsters are expected from the youth information centers that are part of the project. The meeting will allow them to share their interviewing experiences, to exchange ideas and to see which problems they have faced yet and how they have solved them during the first phase of the project.
