This year marked the Third edition of this successful initiative, which since 2006 has been promoting intercultural dialogue and youth cooperation among young students from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Serbia.
Together with their Italian and Belgian peers and with the support of the relevant municipalities, from July 14 to July 23 the participants gathered in the cities Rome, Siena, Leuven and Brussels to attend workshops on intercultural dialogue, and then travelled in small groups through Europe by train (InterRail) until August 12, 2008.
With the European Rails of Peace (EU.R.O.PE) Project, the Glocal Forum and Viaggi e Libertà are working to engage Balkan and European Municipalities and to strengthen cooperation between young Bosnian, Kosovar and Serbian students from across historical and political divides, while connecting them with their peers from European Union countries. With the completion of the Third Project edition, one hundred and fifty students have been reached by the Project since its inception in summer 2006.
