Sharing experience

The aim of the project was to promote the importance of voluntary work and improve its recognition, especially in the non-formal sector of youth work on a cross-continental level. Young people learned a lot about the reality of volunteer work in other countries and were able to look on different cultural behaviours, attitudes and values. During the meetings the participants were able to develop a deeper understanding of the different cultural backgrounds and heritage. They had to make compromises, setting priorities and trying to understand the other point of view while drawing conclusions. Young people reflected together on how they can participate and contribute to the society on local, regional and international level as young citizens. They also exchanged best practises and developed quality standards in the field of volunteer management.
