"Heart, keep beating" is a moving documentary film developed as a Youth Initiative project within the Youth in Action Programme. The official premiere of the documentary film took place on October 2nd, at the Danish Cinematheque in Copenhagen.
"Heart, keep beating" tells about the lives and conditions of two young Romanians, Claudia and Alex, who are HIV infected since childhood. They both dream about having a family; about a completely normal life. In the documentary film ”Heart, keep beating” they tell about their struggle for what’s ”normal” after growing up in an orphanage and being HIV infected since childhood.
The purpose of the project which was carried out by the film production company and cultural organisation Kulturopa, in a collaboration between young people from Denmark, Portugal and Romania, is to fight discrimination and stigmatization of HIV infected youth, and to tell a piece of European contemporary history. Following the premiere, special screenings are conducted for schools, cultural institutions and others.
