Youth on the Move in Bordeaux

From 14 to 16 October Youth on the Move welcomed over 2500 visitors at the Museum of Contemporary Arts and other places across Bordeaux with a tight-packed programme of discussions and information events on education, jobs and youth activities, with theatre performances and concerts.

The set-up of the event allowed visitors to drop in and out of many simultaneous Q&A sessions and informal roundtables in which experts gave advice on how to prepare a CV for a job abroad, former Erasmus students shared their experiences and volunteering organisations informed about the opportunities they offer. Throughout the event local and international theatre groups gave performances. The winners of two Youth on the Move contests received special awards. A free concert drew crowds to Bordeaux's Barbey Rock School on Friday night for performances by New York hip hopper Oddateee, Bordeaux electronic jazz act United Fools and a 12-piece brass band playing Metallica classics.
