Twenty three "Partnerships" projects selected

Twenty three projects out of 67 have been selected during the evaluation of the call for proposals (EACEA/22/09) related to the action "Partnerships".
The successful projects cover a broad range of areas such as media, culture, history, technology and innovation, human rights, sport, environment, and employment. They will contribute in significant way to strengthening: •    active citizenship and participation of the young Europeans, •    cultural diversity and mutual understanding, •    social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, •    equal opportunities among young males and females, •    social responsibility. During the following 2 – 24 months hundreds of young people and youth workers from across Europe will meet, perform many activities and learn from each other, enhancing their competencies and skills. The projects will contribute to the networking and exchanging of experience among various players active in the youth field. The aim of the action "Partnerships" is to support collaboration between the European Commission and regions, municipalities or European NGOs. The partnerships are settled in order to carry out long-term projects combining various measures such as youth exchange, youth initiative, youth democracy projects, European Voluntary Service, training and networking. Through such long-term projects, which are based on shared objectives and equal financing, the European Commission and its partners increase opportunities offered to young Europeans in the field of non-formal education. The calls for proposals related to "Partnerships" are managed by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels.
