Fighting violence against women
The Youth in Action programme has set up a new priority for the years 2008 and 2009 aiming at supporting projects with a focus on fighting violence against women.
It is indeed of major importance to contribute to ensure gender equality in society, including by fighting violence against women, that is why the Youth in Action programme foresees this special focus for two years, in addition to its permanent priorities: Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, Cultural Diversity, Participation and European Citizenship.
A support document has been designed as a tool for the Youth in Action programme's stakeholders (youth workers, Non-Governmental Organisations, National Agencies, etc.) who are working or wish to work on projects fighting violence against women. It explains how to integrate this focus into young people mobility projects of Youth in Action, and gives examples of possible activities.
This document may help at any stage of the project cycle (elaboration, implementation, evaluation, etc).
