Romania
The European Youth week will be celebrated at national level, in Bucharest
and in other 41 towns all over the country.
1-4 December there has been a wide informational and promotional campaign
about the European Youth week.
Different actions are taking place 5-11 December.
A youth NGO's fair and the brochure "I want to be a volunteer in
Europe" by Eurodesk will offer useful informations to young people.
Other methods of communication will be a daily on-line chat between the
Romanian youngsters and other European youngsters (tineretul@online)
and several debate sessions on different topics: tradition in voluntary
activities, Youth in Action Programme, youth policy, non-formal education,
active citizenship.
Other events will be the "Youth Film Gala" and "Raise Your Hand and
Take the Floor", to gain young people's feedback.
On December 11, the official closing of the European Youth Week will
consist in the National Youth Awards, held at the Romanian Parliament
Palace with the participation of the Romanian President and of the Romanian
Prime Minister.
As a feed back of the European Youth Week a document will be created:
"Tineri in Romania Europeana" (Youngsters in the European Romania), which will
contain the expectations, fears and hopes concerning the future and near
accession of Romania in the European Family.
