Recommendations: Improving Accessibility to Volunteering for Young People with Fewer Opportunities
10 years EVS - keep on moving and changing Europe!
Almost 100 EVS former volunteers and many more organisations and institutions involved in EVS gathered in Brussels, on invitation of the Commission, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of European Voluntary Service. Thanks to the participation of Members of the European Parliament, Commissioner Ján Figel' and Commission Vice President Margot Wallström the event had a marked political profile and the messages for the future of EVS and volunteering were very positive.

03.02.06 - The Call for Action 5 innovative co-operation, training and information projects DG EAC 62/05 was published in the Official Journal N° C27 on 3 February. Applications have to follow one of the following priority themes: Cultural diversity and tolerance, Less favoured regions, Eastern Europe - Caucasus - South East Europe, Innovation in European Citizenship education, Co-operation between local or regional authorities and youth NGOs.
