9 - 25 January 2013

Exhibition presents the life and work of Janusz Korczak (1878-1942): social activist who promoted the idea of children’s self-governance, intellectual who fought for children’s rights, and writer who understood how to communicate with children. He was devoted to children till his very end, and, rejecting the opportunity to save himself, was murdered in 1942 in a death camp together with his charges and colleagues from the Orphan’s Home. His achievements – revolutionary at the time – continue to inspire people all over the world.

To reform the world is to reform education
