EU legislation governing road passenger rights came into force on 1 March 2013, following the adoption of Regulation 181/2011 . The rules cover the rights of passengers when travelling by bus and coach.

Member States may be exempt from certain services relating to the application of Regulation

List of bus terminals designated by the Member States where disabled persons and people with reduced mobility can receive appropriate assistance.

Passengers can obtain information on how to exercise their rights through the EU enquiry form for road passengers.


National Enforcement Bodies

National Enforcement Bodies (NEB) for road transport have to guarantee the good application of Regulation 181/2011 and passengers can lodge a complaint with them if believe their rights were not respected.
