Road Safety Action Programme: Midterm review
The Transport White Paper adopted in 2001 proposed the target of halving the number of road fatalities by 2010. This target was subsequently repeated in the European road safety action programme adopted in 2003.
The Commission has now adopted a communication on the Mid-term review of the European Road Safety Action Programme, accompanied by useful documentation. This will form the basis for further actions helping Europe to achieve the road safety targets by 2010.
