European Road Safety Day 2007 :: Attend the event
The European Road Safety Event, organised and sponsored by the European Commission, is a one day event held in the "Charlemagne" Building in the Rue de la Loi in Brussels ("Rond Point Schuman").
Hotel accomodation may be found at the Official website of the Brussels' TOURIST and CONVENTION bureau.
This is a unique opportunity to get an update on the knowledge, ongoing activities and visions concerning young drivers throughout Europe. It’s a day for young people sharing experience, focusing on the themes of alcohol and drugs in traffic, and training and education.
No long speeches, but up-to-date information, success stories, testimonials and discussions with your peers. Long coffee breaks and lunch buffet will allow you to extend your network and knowledge. There will also be ample opportunity for practical experiences, as various associations are invited to present their products and services for road safety for young people (Programme (1,65 MB)).
The Red Cross office in Brussels offers First Aid training sessions (8 sessions of approx. 30 minutes and max. 10 persons per session). Registration is necessary via the normal registration form.
A detailed programme with confirmed presentations will be posted shortly on this Website.
The event can host around 400 people and is free of charge (delegate packs, coffee and buffet lunch included). You will have to cover your own travel and accommodation expenses.
