The objective of this study is to assess the introduction of 21 vehicle safety technologies based on existing literature, data and knowledge. By means of an economic cost-benefit analysis of each of these technologies, a priority list has been established to inform and guide decision-makers on the most beneficial steps to take in the future to reduce the number of accidents and/or the severity of accidents in EU-25. The assessment of each of the vehicle technologies is based on a common approach to ensure that the technologies are evaluated at equal premises.
