In the summer of 2005, a major European Road Safety Charter promotional activity took place: The European Road Safety Charter Summer Campaign. This campaign was supported by the Association of European tolled motorways (ASECAP) and their members.

The European Road Safety Charter, an initiative set up by the European Commission to promote road safety in Europe, will be presented the 9th of March of 2006, together with other Danish initiatives to improve road safety at an event in Copenhagen to help promote the idea of social responsibility for companies through traffic safety campaigns for their employees.

Europejska Karta Bezpieczeństwa Ruchu Drogowego to inicjatywa Komisji Europejskiej w zakresie bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego, promująca bezpieczniejsze drogi i mająca na celu uratowanie co roku w Europie 25.000 istnień ludzkich. Konferencja warszawska zamyka cykl 8 spotkań poświęconych tej inicjatywie w największych miastach europejskich.
