Statistics -other data

Other sets of data can contribute to a deeper analysis of road safety. They can be directly linked with the CARE data, e.g. risk exposure data , or used independently, e.g. road safety performance indicators.

Detailed Europe-wide statistics on road transport are available on the Eurostat website while more synthetic data can be found in the yearly statistical pocket book pdf .

Moreover, countries publish national statistical reports [187 KB] every year, some of which provide access to their national data bases.

Several scientific projects have gathered sets of more detailed data, so-called "in-depth data". The Commission promotes these projects with the ultimate aim of collecting all data in a standard way and pooling them in a single place.
