  • 90 km/h for motorcycles; 80 km/h if carrying dangerous goods
  • 45 km/h for mopeds, tricycles & light quads

Non-urban roads with hard shoulder (>1.5 m) or dual carriageway

  • 100 km/h for motorcycles. 90 km/h if carrying dangerous goods
  • 45 km/h for mopeds, tricycles & light quads

Speed 120

Motorways/expressways

  • 120 km/h for motorcycles. 110km/h if carrying dangerous goods
  • Mopeds, tricycles and light quads are not allowed on motorways/expressways

Passenger cars & vans

  • 40 km/h when transporting dangerous goods

Rural roads without a hard shoulder or with a narrow hard shoulder (<1.5 m)

  • 90 km/h for passenger cars
  • 80 km/h for light vans (car-derived vans) and multi-purpose vehicles 70 km/h for vans and light lorries
  • 70 km/h for passenger cars and light vans with trailers
  • If dangerous goods are being transported, the maximum speed for each category of vehicle must be reduced by 10 km/h.

Speed 80 Speed 100

Rural roads with a hard shoulder at least 1.5 m wide or with two or more lanes in each direction

  • 100 km/h for passenger cars
  • 90 km/h for light vans (car-derived vans) and multi-purpose vehicles
  • 80 km/h for vans and light lorries
  • 80 km/h for passenger cars and light vans with trailers
  • If dangerous goods are being transported, the maximum speed for each category of vehicle must be reduced by 10 km/h.

Speed 90 Speed 120

Motorways/expressways

  • 120 km/h for passenger cars
  • 100 km/h for light vans (car-derived vans) and multi-purpose vehicles
  • 90 km/h for vans and light lorries
  • 90 km/h for passenger cars and light vans with trailers up to 750 kg (category O1)
  • If dangerous goods are being transported, the maximum speed for each category of vehicle must be reduced by 10 km/h.
