Which rule are you interested in?

The use of seat belts and child restraint systems is MANDATORY (Directive 91/671/EEC as amended).

Medical exemptions are possible, e.g. by providing a medical certificate to prove that you cannot use a seat belt.

Road users must follow the traffic light signals.

Red light and sign for driving right at a red light: you can turn right at a red light if the way is clear.

Drivers of emergency response vehicles, escort vehicles and vehicles under escort do not need to comply with the traffic rules and traffic light signals. However, they must drive in such a manner and at such speeds to be in control of their vehicles at all times and not endanger other road users or their property.

For goods vehicles without trailers and with a maximum weight of not more than 3.5 tonnes: these vehicles can drive at certain speed limits if the maximum speed is specified in the vehicle registration document or in a certificate issued by the relevant authority or authorised state organisation.

All other narcotic drugs, psychoactive medicines and substances and their metabolites, included in the official list.

Reserved lanes may be used only by regular public transport services.

The emergency lane on motorways may be used only in emergencies.

  • spare wheel and car tool or suitable device or devices to enable driving despite a damaged tyre;
  • warning triangle;
  • first aid kit for vehicles of various categories;
  • set of spare bulbs;
  • reflective jacket.
