Video: Air transport: new rights for people with reduced mobility
(short version: 00:46, long version: 04:27)
Are you a person with a disability or reduced mobility, are you interested in travelling by air or would you like to receive assistance adapted to your needs?
European legislation gives you rights, on the ground and in the air, throughout the European Union. If you consider that these provisions have not been respected, you may bring the matter to the attention of the airport manager or the air carrier. If you are unsatisfied with their responses, you may lodge a complaint with the enforcement body in your country.
National Enforcement Bodies
[177 KB] according to Regulation [EC] 1107/2006 from 5 July 2006.
The EU rules oblige Member States to nominate or create “national enforcement bodies”, whose role is to verify that transport operators are treating all passengers in accordance with their rights. Passengers who believe they have not been treated correctly should contact the body in the country where the incident took place.
