Objective of the consultation
Based on the comments received the Commission will formulate its detailed policy on the rights of bus and coach passengers. The possible adoption of a legislative proposal by the European Commission is scheduled in the Legislative Work Programme for the fourth quarter of 2006.
The European Commission received a total of 57 contributions, of which 14 from the governments of Member States, 12 from European organisations, 20 from national organisations, 9 from companies and 2 from other contributors.
