The High Level conference in the field of inland navigation is organised by the Hungarian Presidency of the European Union with the support of the European Commission to discuss:

A fully integrated inland waterway transport (IWT) system is crucial to further develop the internal market and sustain the environment. Its reliability and environmentally friendly nature make IWT a cost-efficient alternative to other modes of transport for goods. This conference will evolve around the mid-term progress report on the implementation of the NAIADES Action Programme for the promotion of IWT and provide key conclusions regarding its future.
