The European Commission is preparing a Communication on the promotion of Inland Waterway Transport. An integrated action programme, focusing on concrete actions which are needed to fully exploit the market potential of inland navigation, is intended to make its use more attractive.
Stakeholders are invited to express their ideas and views on the consultation document until 31 August 2005.
