Following the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the European Union of 30th of March 2009, the European Commission was requested to present proposals to the Council and to the European Parliament, on the adequate and innovative financing solutions for the preparation and transition to the deployment phase of SESAR programme  stressing the necessary governance mechanisms and arrangements. Under the Framework Contract for economic assistance DG Mobility and Transport engaged the consultant Booz and co. to assist it in analyzing possible innovative financing schemes for the SESAR depoyment phase. The findings of the study will serve as input to the Commission for making proposals for the preparation and transition to Single European Sky technologies and procedures resiulting from the SESAR development phase. These findings, however, do not represent the Commission's formal view on this issue.
