Inspections
The Commission conducts inspections of airports and the appropriate authorities of the EU Member States who are responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the implementation of the EU's civil aviation security rules.
Commission inspections serve to ensure that Union standards are fully implemented by Member States. Shortcommings must be remedied by the appropriate authority.
