International aviation: Armenia
The Horizontal Agreement between Armenia and the European Union was signed on 9 December 2008 in Brussels.
This agreement brings several provisions in bilateral air services agreements between EU Member States and Armenia in line with EU law. Most importantly, it will allow European carriers to fly from any point in the EU to Armenia in the framework of the traffic rights laid down in the bilateral agreements.
The EC and Armenia also agreed to intensify their cooperation on safety matters.
