Short
Sea Friendliness of Ports
In line with its on-going efforts
to promote Short Sea Shipping, the European Commission launched an exercise,
in April 2004, allowing European ports to present their short-sea friendliness
on a Commission hosted Internet website. All sea and sea-river ports in
Europe are welcome to contribute.
Short Sea Shipping
New documents have been added to the Short Sea Shipping web
pages. A document on simplified customs procedures is available,
and so are new success stories and updated lists of obstacles
that should be overcome to make Short Sea Shipping more
successful
