Internal Market – Cabotage

Regulation (EEC) 3577/92 liberalised maritime transport between ports within the same Member State and therefore makes it possible to any Community shipowners to provide such a service in a Member State other than the one in which he is established.

The Regulation is applicable in all Member States which must also ensure transparency and competition between Community shipowners  when allocating public services contracts.
