Public conference in preparation for the Logistics Action Plan, Brussels, 8 May 2007

On 8 May 2007, the European Commission and the German Presidency of the Council co-chaired a public conference to debate the Freight Logistics Action Plan due to be published in autumn of this year. The event which was attended by more than 160 stakeholders, policy makers and other interested parties provided a platform to identify and discuss the needs of logistics in Europe and to assess how these issues can be reflected in the forthcoming Logistics Action Plan. To orient discussions and provide background information, the Commission issued registered participants with a short annotated agenda and a summary of the results of the stakeholder consultations prepared by an external contractor.
