Implementation of (EC) Regulation No 1794/2006 - the Charging Regulation
Regulation (EC) No 1794/2006 (the Charging Regulation) has been adopted in application of Article 14 of (EC) Regulation No 550/2004 with a view to setting up a common charging scheme for air navigation services.
The aim of this Regulation is to achieve greater transparency with respect to the determination, imposition and enforcement of charges to airspace users.
The system aims at encouraging the safe, efficient and effective provision of air navigation services to the users of air navigation services that finance the system and stimulating integrated service provision. It also promotes the enhancement of cost and operational efficiencies.
