NOGEPA (the Netherlands Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Association) represents the interests of companies possessing permits to drill for and produce oil and gas both on land and on the Dutch continental shelf. NOGEPA members produce some 75 billion cubic meters of natural gas and two million cubic meters of oil annually. Some 3,000 people work for Dutch oil and gas companies. A similar number work in supplier companies. An additional 10,000 work for contractors in the offshore sector.

NOGEPA vertegenwoordigt de Nederlandse olie- en gas exploratie- en productie industrie. NOGEPA´s doel is de verbetering van de economische duurzaamheid van de sector.
Veilig, milieuvriendelijk en sociaal verantwoord.
NOGEPA’s missie:
- stimuleren van zowel traditionele als onconventionele olie en gas exploratie en productie activiteiten;
- bevorderen van inzicht in de rol van het Nederlands gas in de energiemix en haar bijdrage aan de samenleving
bevorderen van veilige en milieuverantwoorde bedrijfsactiviteiten;
- de mogelijkheden en het alternatieve gebruik van lege velden en infrastructuur verkennen en bevorderen
aandacht vragen voor de sector door constructieve, proactieve communicatie en overleg met overheden, stakeholders en het publiek;
- de sector promoten als een veilige branche die aantrekkelijke beroepsmogelijkheden biedt
NOGEPA is lid van OGP, de internationale branchevereniging van olie- en gasproducenten. OGP staat voor International Association of Oil and Gas Producers. De organisatie heeft hoofdkantoren in Brussel en Londen.
Binnen de EU vertegenwoordigt OGP haar leden die in Europa actief zijn. Namens haar leden is OGP de belangrijkste gesprekspartner op het gebied van energiebeleid, milieu en andere kwesties die in relatie staan tot de olie- en gasindustrie.
