||The Valencian Employers’ Federation of the Metal Sector was created over 35 years ago, to put forward ideas and defend the interests of groups and individuals belonging to companies associated with the metal sector in Valencia.
Metal is the leading productive sector in the region of Valencia employing over 200.000 people and representing the 12.9% of the GDP. FEMEVAL is made up of over 3.700 companies related to the metal industry and metal trade and service sectors.
Metallurgy. Primary transformation of metals
Manufacturing and fabrication of metal products: metal fittings, lamps, metal furniture, jewellery and costume jewellery.
Manufacturing industry of machinery and capital goods
Electrical and electronic industry
Manufacturing and fabrication of equipment and instruments for medical-surgical and optical use, precision instruments, and equipment and instruments used in watch making
Manufacturing motor vehicles and their components, trailers and other transport material
Installations using metal: metallic structures, air conditioning, electrical installations, lifts, plumbing, gas, locksmiths, metallic carpentry and fire fighting equipment

FEMEVAL is a member of the Valencian Employers’ Confederation (CEV-CIERVAL), and the Spanish Confederation of Metal Employers’ Organisations (CONFEMETAL). It is also part of The Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Organisations (CEOE). FEMEVAL representatives form part of the management bodies of the aforementioned organizations, representing and defending the interests of business belonging to the metal sector in Valencia.
FEMEVAL is an organization that follows key strategic lines of action in an aim to:
Line of action 1: Develop the role of defending and representing the interests of associated companies.
Line of action 2: Increase the effectiveness of communication to the different stakeholders, to obtain an influential presence in society.
Line of action 3: Guarantee the constant adaptation of the Federation’s actions and services to the needs of its members.
Line of action 4: Have a human team and several collaborators at its disposal, who are committed to the organization and feel proud of belonging to or being associated with FEMEVAL.
Line of action 5: Promote the excellence of the organisation to stakeholders based on the organisation’s ethical principles and good management, integration, demands and focus on users.

||FEMEVAL puts forward ideas, defends and represents the interests of groups and individuals of the associated companies in its multiple actions with the Administration, social actors and other Agencies and Institutions. As well as to offer to the associated companies the best advice in the development of their activity by means of numerous services in the following areas:
Innovation, Technology and Internationalization: Actions to promote innovation; Promotion of the participation in innovative projects, Advising in innovation and access to subsidies, Commercial Missions, Market Survey, Calls for Tender
Sustainability, Strategic Management, Energy and Workplace and Industrial Safety: Evaluations and Audits, implementation of Quality Management Systems, Environment, Occupational Risks Prevention, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Technical Advice on regulation, industrial regulation and access to subsidies, Processings with Administration
Training for businessmen, workers, unemployed workers of the metal sector: continued general and/or specific sub-sectorial training, made-to-measure training for the company, obtention of professional certifications, etc.
Human Resources and Employment: Negotiation of agreements, Advising and Labor Management, Services of Vocational Integration (processing of companies job offers, personnel recruitment interviews…), etc.
Projects: Follow up of Calls for Proposals, partner search, proposals writing, development of actions and projects at local, national and international level.
To facilitate access to different services with profitable conditions (insurances, communications, etc.) by means of agreements with different entities, or through the own FEMEVAL's Central Purchasing Office.
To extend the flow of information of interest for the companies, paying particular attention to the programs focused on SMEs. For this purpose, we count on Dissemination Channels as the web of Femeval, Femeval TV, Newsletters, press releases, attendance to sectorial fairs, etc.
To stir into action the Metal mechanical Sector by means of a wide range of activities. Among them, a quarterly Report of the Metal mechanical Sector trend based on the answers of its associated companies. The Report consists of indicators of the productive activity of the sector, future expectations, evolution of sales, index of prices, principal exports and destinations

||FEMEVAL has coordinatesd a FP7 project called Knowledge Based Process Planning and Design for Additive Layer Manufacturing (KARMA)www.karmaproject.eu and now is also coordinating the Project GreenPonint (Life Long Learning Programme) Development of the GreenPoint Qualification Standard and its implementation in small and medium enterprises of the metal sector. http://www.greenpointonline.eu/
