Objectifs et missions
| Les objectifs et les missions de l'organisme : |
1. To preserve and conserve animal species in their natural habitat on an international basis
2. To prevent all types of cruelty and abuse of animals and wildlife, particularly in zoos and other places where animals are kept in captivity
3. To educate the public and to advance the education of natural history, environmental studies, ecology, and resource conservation in industrial, urban, natural and marine environments
4. To relieve the suffering of animals of any species which are in need of care and attention and (where appropriate) assist in the provision of improved facilities for the care of animals in captivity

1. The Species Survival Network (SSN) - an international coalition of over 80 NGOs committed to the promotion, enhancement and strict enforcement of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora
2. ENDCAP - a coalition of 27 NGOs and individuals that specialise in the welfare and protection of wild animals in captivity
3. Ape Alliance - an international colaition of organisations and individuals working for the conservation and welfare of apes
