Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) is a non-profit organization under private law, with headquarters in Thessaloniki (Greece), which has recently opened its office in Brussels.
Since 1993, KEPA has proved its success as an Intermediate Management Agency for National and Community Programmes at regional level for Central and Western Macedonia (Operational programme competitiveness and entrepreneurship – OPEC I and II), through its subsidiary ΚΕPΑ–ΑΝΕΜ, and at national level as a management agency for various calls for SMEs (3rd CSF implementation for the period 2000-2006 for 13 regional operational programmes) and actions to strengthen small and micro enterprises active in the areas of Processing-Tourism-Trade-Services within the NSRF 2007-2013 framework as an associate of National Bank of Greece.
To date KEPA has assisted in the distribution of more than EUR 1.3 million in previous frameworks and about EUR 400 million in NSRF 2007-2013 to more than 10,000 SMEs. KEPA’s strengths lie in preparing calls for proposals, participating in decision making processes, managing contracting processes with successful applications for calls and monitoring the implementation of projects.
The purpose of KEPA's Office in Brussels is to serve as a benchmark of small and medium-sized enterprises and business entities in Northern Greece, in the heart of the European Union, with the aim of providing information and support on the financial opportunities of the EU. We can also provide you with all the necessary information about the opportunities available in the Balkans. One of the key tasks of Brussels office is to provide in-depth information about the region with the support of stakeholders, chambers of commerce and local authorities, to realize optimal
partnerships, to harmonize regional project initiatives, and to organize and coordinate project ideas according to regional needs. Moreover ΚΕPΑ’s mission is to develop, support and promote entrepreneurship, ensuring growth and sustainability for SMEs by coordinating and cooperating with various players, including global partners, who make international best practices available to local entrepreneurs.
