The amount above is our best estimate of the overall cost of activities falling under the revised scope of the Register including meetings, conversations, correspondence with officials of EU Institutions, work/activities to prepare positions, organize meetings, etc. to support advocacy pursued either directly or through trade or industry associations. Costs for conference sponsorships, consultancy work in support of advocacy and association memberships are now included in the cost estimate.
The zero figure for procurement and grants means the following : (i) we cannot totally exclude that EU funding might have occurred across our European network of affiliates and businesses, for instance through the supply of petrol/diesel, lubricants or heating oil (ii)even if there is any, it would be de minimis compared to the size of our businesses and related investments (over USD 3billion).
