Objectivos e missão
| Objectivos e missão do organismo: |
PAN Parks, the European wilderness protection organization, works for the protection, greater understanding and appreciation of Europe’s wilderness areas.
We will protect the natural habitats and fragile ecosystems so vital to the future of Europe’s wilderness.
We will work in cooperation with European protected areas as partner and, advocate, using the PAN Parks Certification to ensure these wilderness areas are safeguarded, enhanced and appreciated.
We will build collaborative partnerships amongst individuals and organizations who, together, can protect wilderness by sharing knowledge and growing understanding.
We will promote sustainable, responsible tourism to foster love, respect and pride for Europe’s wilderness.
We will do this with no political lobbying or without being involved in any political campaign!

Advocating for enhanced protection of wilderness on a European level. As part of this goal we are contributing to the implementation of the EU 200 biodiversity strategy across Europe.
However we are also working on wilderness protection in neigboring countries of the EU.
PPF has been mentioned as best-practice example within the special report of the European Parliament on wilderness. This report was adopted on 3 February 2009.
