Wemos influences international policy in such a way that the right to health is respected, protected and promoted. In doing so, we devote special attention to vulnerable sections of society. Wemos contributes to changes aimed at making structural improvements in health. We advocate:ethical conduct in relation to clinical trials and recruitment of health personnel, coherent policy and equal access to care.
Wemos implements the project Health Workers for all and all for health workers; we work on ethical clinical trials; legislation regarding endocrine disrupting chemicals.
In 2014, Wemos has followed up contacts with the European Medicines Agency on ways of monitoring the ethical aspects of clinical trials for drugs entering the European market. A number of studies has been done, the results of which have been shared with members of parliament.
Health workers for all project is being implemented and coordinated with Joint Action on health workforce planning and forecasting.
