The activities related to EU decision making are performed by IKEA Public Affairs. Its mission is to inform IKEA of EU developments that could impact business and to inform EU decision makers of barriers and opportunities regarding EU rules and policies.
Sustainability: the expected circular economy package, Energy Union and the discussions for COP 21 in Paris, energy labelling, eco-design, EU timber regulation
Product market requirements: Product safety, some interation on the need for EDC criteria,
Retail specific: establishment study, infringement cases, Digital Single Market, expected mutual recognition initiative and initiative for strenghtening the internal market for services, MIF regulation and Payments,
High Level Group on Retail Competitiveness
During the almost 2 year mandate IKEA has been represented 3 times in one day meetings.
Expert Group on Horizon 2020 Secure Societies Advisory Group.
The person has been appointed as an individual expert appointed in his/her personal capacity and the views would not necessarily represent the IKEA Groups position.
For 2014-2015 our main activities are related to: market access, waste and circular economy, energy and climate change, product safety, internal market, payment card fees & rules, international trade, food legislation and sustainable consumption.
The time spent by the individual expert above has not been included nor the High Level Group participant.
